Software Advisory Service seeks talent in the Canary Islands

Software Advisory Service foresees the creation of 65 jobs in the Canary Islands and up to 150 jobs in the next two years

Software Advisory Service, Scottish technology advisory and shared service company, has an ambitious two-year-project consisting of the creation of 150 jobs and the setup of a new R+D+i division in the Canary Islands.

Belonging to the Scottish group 4ICG, the company Software Advisory Service will be soon integrated into the Canary Islands business ecosystem by generating more than 65 jobs, between technical profiles for call center services and technology consultants who speak Spanish, English or German. In addition, SAS foresees the creation of up to 150 jobs in the Canary Islands in the next two years, where the setup of care and consulting services will be completed with the opening of a new R+D+i division.

The Scottish company SAS discovered the wide range of opportunities offered by the Canary Islands thanks to the impact of one of the digital marketing campaigns launched since 2019 by PROEXCA, a public company attached to the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Canary Islands Government, who works with the main objective of promoting the Canary Islands’ advantages as an international business hub.

Features such as quality of life, connectivity, the archipelago’s geostrategic location, the capacities of local talent and an ecosystem focused on innovation have been essential in the decision of Software Advisory Service to establish a new office in the Archipelago, considering these values as aligned with its company culture, focused on the professional development of its employees.

Software Advisory Service is a technology advisory and shared services’ agency founded in Glasgow in 2011 that now operates remotely in more than 30 countries. SAS represents and supports major technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP offering a wide range of service coverage.

Software Advisory Service is now a rapidly expanding organization in a phase of growth and territorial expansion, supported by the good results achieved in its European offices, where Software Advisory Service counts on more than 800 employees distributed between Scotland, Turkey and Spain.

Software Advisory Service will be soon integrated into the Canary Islands’ business ecosystem by generating more than 65 jobs on Tenerife island.

Besides operating remotely in more than 30 countries, Software Advisory Service stands out for its innovative talent attraction, retention and motivation policy that promotes vital and work balance, including measures such as the 4-day working week – without salary reduction or other benefits-, fitness classes on breaks, sports promotion, free breakfast and private health insurance.

Many other regional entities have supported Software Advisory Service in its process of location in the #CanaryIslands, in addition to PROEXCA and the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Canary Islands Government, such as Why Tenerife, a platform for attracting investment composed of the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Tenerife Port Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, the Canary Islands Special Zone and the Tenerife Free Zone, as well as the CEDeI program of the Cabildo de Tenerife, through which Software Advisory Service will train 65 advisors for its multilingual call center in the Canary Islands.
